There are a lot of unique artists on these fair shores. We have a pride in giving power to our own dialects and that has given birth to UK MCs who push not only their own boundaries, but those of hip hop itself. The quality of the music coming out of the pylons of this island only serves to drive the push for originality harder. One artist who can certainly not be likened to many others is Asbest The Moor King. Hailing from the south coast and with an entourage of quality musicians and MCs, his latest album is laced with the beauty of both UK and world wide hip hop culture.
Asbest himself takes the helm of this creation, and of many of the beats on the album with Leplezett blessing it with the rest. Asbest prides himself on finding some of the lushest and most emotive samples out there and this album is no exception to his rule. Not only that, but Asbest mixed, mastered and even laid down his own cuts. The love for his art form is clear in every syllable and snare. Nothing sells an album quite like the relentless passion of it's creator.
The album is out now on limited edition cassette and in digital format.
