One thing you can always say about us Brits is that we know how to have a jolly god laugh at ourselves. In that very British of ways, the wonderful Professor Elemental has released a very special version of his classic track 'I'm British'. Remixed and remashed in response to the whole EU debacle, the UK's very own chap hop superstar has thrown his hat in the ring and given his two pence worth in true underground double h fashion.
Written, recorded and mixed within a few days of his return from the Glastonbury mudfest, the track pokes a long rubber joke shop finger at the whole ridiculous affair. The Prof states; "Here to bring you a little sunshine on this most gloomy of Summers - the I'm British redux has arrived! All proceeds will go to the charity 'Refugee Action' and will help with their vital work empowering and enabling displaced people from around the world."
The track comes with exclusive art by Bob Molesworth. Produced by the Prof's top dog Tom Caruana and Kindly re-recorded by Matt Wilkinson at Gull studios then mixed by Flevans.
In typical uncle El' fashion the track splits the sides of all those within earshot. Whether you're a steampunk / chap hop fan or just a UK hip hop stalwart then the Prof has something for your funny bones. Go grab your copy and peep his tremendous back catalogue, including some of the greatest music videos to ever get a hit.
