Back from a small hiatus is one of UK hip hop's most exciting producers. Only this time, he's back with a twist. Not content to work with some of the UK's best MCs, nor to be one of the UK's most interesting and prolific remixers, he has expanded his skill set and decided to get years of pent up hip hop frustration out in the form of a pen and pad and yep - even a microphone! Ladies and gents we introduce to you Pandamonium ... the MC.
Produced by the man himself, the beat is a wonderfully wonky dream of an affair. With a piano that forcibly nods your head back and forth with whiplash inducing vigour and drums that damn near tap ya toes to the bone. In classic Panda style he has produced something any UK vocal head would bite their writing arm off for. But not only that, it seems that his presence on the microphone is a tour de force as well. His lines are witty and wise and many of his confessions are perfect punch line fodder.
Panda goes on to say... "This track originally came about as an experiment. I had made the beat and whilst bumping it through the headphones one day I started making some rhymes up. The subject was my home life and I just played with some simple tongue in cheek type ish. After some seriously dodgy recording techniques and some sneaky tweaking and editing, I concocted this, my first ever attempt at spitting thoughts over my own production!"
Well we can tell you sir it sounds damn good to us at Underground double H! There is an extra twist with this release. Dedicated to both the good family news of a mini Pandamonium on the way and to the memory of his father in law Timothy 'Martin James' Hole, the proceeds are all being donated to the hard working team at Hospicecare, Exeter, Devon.
Ok so conclusions... The beat is brilliant. The vocals are hilarious, hard, honest and proudly homegrown. This is sure to bring a smile to the faces of hip hop heads far and wide and make the heads he works with proud. Final thought? - Go grab your copy now!
