Just a few weeks ago a video was released by one of our favorite Scottish MCs - Gasp. The track for the video 'Taste Of Honey' is a dub taken from a track by long time synth heads The Chemical Brothers. Known for experimenting in various genres and styles over the years the Chems' have an eclectic background they have always utilised well. This project is by Gasp and 0405 Photography, here with their first music video of 2016, a brilliant musical work of art to kick off with.
Gasp - Taste of Honey (THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS) (OFFICIAL VIDEO) from 0405Photography on Vimeo.
Gasp is well known to us here at Underground HHHQ, as one of the most interesting artists on these fair isles. His music, lyricism and video production is tantamount to the plethora of skills he has developed and brought to the scene. Always of a high standard and always striving to be ahead of the game, he is one of Underground HH's founder's favorite UK acts.
Shot with zero budget, set in Gasp's living room in Glasgow, Scotland. The film gives Gasp chance to play with fun and manic facial expressions to display an array of characters. The video accompanies the wordsmithery well and each bar is splattered with visual anarchy. 'Taste Of Honey' is a fantastic beat which Gasp more than makes his own, he uses his descriptive verbal acrobatics and acting abilities to make some thing cool into something truly special. The Chem's have once again shown a knack for stumbling over talent and with Gasp's contribution to their beat, have commando rolled and finished firmly on their feet.
