Ladies and gentlemen, b-boys and b-girls Underground HH proudly presents to you our highlights of 2015! Each year we like to round up by celebrating some of the UK's finest and most impressive releases. From CD to vinyl, album to single, video to digital, we're shouting out those that have pushed the boundaries and dropped jaws in 2015.
Site owner Leon and myself Invokal have spent hour upon hour scratching our heads to decide who deserves the tip of our hats and we've chosen 14 catergories to celebrate the best of the UK hip hop scene. Now on the crest of the new year we're here to metaphorically shake the hands of the artists who impressed us most. It has been an incredibly hard choice this year, 2015 has been one of the most prolific years for UK hip hop for as long as we can remember. The wealth of talent available is quite simply astonishing and UK hip hop MCs, producers, DJs and fans should all be proud of what we have built. Now right up there as one of the most healthy scenes in the world, the UK is a fine example of where the culture has been, from its strong roots to present day, and of where it is going.
All our wonderful followers have also had your chance to vote for your favorite release in our Reader's Choice category to tell us who YOU want to shout out for their contribution to the scene this year. Whether album or EP, digital, vinyl or otherwise we wanted to know who's made your ears stand to attention. We've had a superb response and over 20 different entries! The votes are counted and the results are in.
So people of the Underground double H universe, *drum roll please* we proudly present to you - The Underground HH Awards 2015...
