We are very proud to present the brilliant new wax from Underground HH favorites B-Line Records. Independent labels don't come much better than B-Line, and their back catalogue is a proud testament to what UK hip hop has achieved over the last decade. Coming out on friday 30th October, is a brand new 7 inch from one of their roster's best. Producer and DJ Beattrix, hailing from Wales has enlisted some brilliant MCs and crafted two colourful tracks. Let's take a look at them individually...
Grab The Mic featuring Junior Disprol is a masterpiece. Nodding it's head to the early UK sound, fast and energetic beyond belief, the track provides a dance floor stomper that b-boys with be ecstatic with. JD's vocals leave the track space to pound the top end and the melodies and horns slap you round the face and tell to 'move them cells'. The vocals are brilliantly gravelly and he hits his syllables with fury and finesse. This is a brilliant example of what hip hop can be, it's lyrical, head-nod-inducing and passionate, all while staying true to it's roots.
Passion is the antipode. Groovy and cathartic, the vocal invite this time goes out to the brilliant Dookie Squad. The track flows like a proud strut down a summer beach, pair of shades atop your nose, and 'whatever's ya poison' in hand. The Dookie Squad MCs come with class, and splatter the scenery with rhymes aplenty and it adds to the good time vibes. This is the perfect accompanyment to the A-side and provides proof that Beattrix has many facets to his presence.
Mastered by 'No Sleep' Nigel, and with a great old school cover design by Tisk and graphic design by Mr Tibbz, the black wax is blessed with two tracks of wonderful UK hip hop. Beattrix and B-Line bring you something of high calibre, this is one for the DJs, B-Boys and collectors, and a release Underground HH is proud to champion.
