Flo And Don Piper New Memories EP Review
We love breaking the rules at UndergroundHH and crossing genres to support unique artists that dabble in hip hop from time to time but more importantly, make music we feel! Today we're breaking the rules again for Flo who's teamed up with Bristol based producer Don Piper to drop a collaborative project titled New Memories EP featuring 5 tracks! If you're unaware of either of these artists then you're in for a treat, if you've heard previous material then spark a zoot, hit play on the full EP below and cotch while you read.
The first track on the brand spanking new EP is So Fast which begins with a short skit blending into vibrations which I can only describe as, the sound of ecstasy. Flo soon comes into play with her mesmerizing melodies and thought provoking vocals through out. Fight comes equipped with more production that oozes a lazy wake and bake sunday vibe as Flo describes the ying and yang of trying to make a name for yourself as a Female in a male dominated world.
Next up is For Love which swiftly gets your head swaying and positivity coursing through the body as Flo laces more hypnotic melodies and harmonies as she vocalizes the feeling of love! The fourth track on the EP is Free which features one of the hardest working heads in the scene, Dotz! Aligning forces with Flo once again and over a Don Piper beat you can expect the results to speak for its self and... well a classic is born. The start opens with a contagious tranquil beat that soothes your inner soul as Flo blesses it with her angelic vocals. At a minute in Dotz begins to lace a singular verse on a reflective tip, lowering the tone of his bars to pack a punch while keeping his barbaric flow at the forefront.
The last track on the New Memories EP is titled So High and showcases exactly how talented the producer Don Piper is! Knowing his beats fairly well, he has the ability to produce pure neck snapping beats and then, chilled out, food for soul, tranquil trips down memory lane like this beat! Flo is a flawless candidate to take lead on this and her conscious vocals compliment it in every way!
