The Wild, is Maccas first release since his debut album The Great Escape in October 2013. His smooth tone along side Inspectamorz's shadowy beat creates a calming yet still shady atmosphere. The intro represents the overall theme and mood of the song.
Maccas poetic lyricism leaves the listener thinking and his comfortable delivery of abstract imagery stimulates the imagination. “Sit and fossilise with the rust metals. Iron sky's light on the lives of the lost pebbles.” He flows descriptive lyrics with ease but still has room to master his already unique style. He puts across interesting ideas with a running theme of searching for something more in the track, relating to the common feeling of wanting to escape. “I sit laying in the belly of this beast I've been chasing the day counting hours wasting away in this playground we play in the waste of decay.”
This is quite a gloomy track compared to his debut so I am looking forward to what the new album he's working on is going to deliver. We are unsure to the exact date of its arrival but we will keep you as up to date as possible and if this is the first time you've heard of Macca, you can listen to The Great Escape on broken-culture.co.uk for FREE, a heavy album full with 20 tracks.
