Heirs To The Throne EP Review

Underground Bristol duo known by the name of Heirs To The Throne are a new addition to our site along with getting rotation on my phones playlist. Having only discovered them recently when they were building hype to release their debut self titled 10 track EP, it's safe to say I was pleasantly surprised! Consisting of two emcees known by the alias of L.Thrones and Tyrant, along with a nameless entity who dwells in realms unknown who chopped and mixed the EP. After a quick spin it got reloaded and we've decided to get into review mode for the Heirs To The Throne EP! So let's get into it.

We Are Gathered Today opens up the self titled EP with demonic vibes and a devilish intro, breaking out the chains and entering into the first full length track. Heirs To The Throne follows from the intro skit and features a classic Non Phixion beat titled "It's Us", expect a swift introduction to the deadly combination of L.Thrones and Tyrant, bringing an abundance of headin nodding flows, solid pengame and diverse delivery! A seriously strong opening track from Heirs To The Throne. The only track which has been produced for HTTT's debut EP is I Need A Fuckin Therapist with Producer P laying down the beat! Compact with errie and daunting vibes it's a flawless platform for L.Thrones to lace on his ones with hard hitting rhymes, rugged delivery and a dosage of underground rap to the frontal lobe. Mirror Mirror further cements their versatility on the mic, showcasing tyrants skillset when on a beat alone, portrayed with utter ease and perfection, from the moment it starts to ends you'll be greeted with quick witted flows, neck snappin delivery and clear hunger and determination for the art form, those combinations always equate to a banger and that's what happened! Potentially my favorite track from the EP.

The 5th track from the EP is Cannabis Connoisseurs and is quite obvious what the subject matter is going to be, blessing the beat with ganja infused bars! A classic track for anyone getting home after a hectic day, roll up, kick back, indulge the chro smoke while absorbing the rhymes from HTTT. Non Compus Mentis steps up the ante with more lyrical warfare, spraying an array of schemes and metaphors ingulfing the beat in flames with Heirs To The Throne's signature style.

Going from strength to strength we land on As Kings We Stand featuring more hard hitting classic production, riding it with ease and effortless delivery you'll hear exactly why this deadly duo are in a league of their own! Brimstone brings another absolute classic beat to the forefront (Snowgoons | The Hatred 2) riding the rhythms with fast paced delivery and anarchy inspired rhymes, murking the beat into oblivion with the wrath of their rhyme style! It's clear as day that this duo is going to be a problem. The Eulogy is a short skit to bring closure to their debut EP and despite almost freaking me out a little with the bone chilling vibes it brings, it's safe to say there's not a skit out there that would've been better placed!

That brings our review of the Heirs To The Throne's debut EP to a closure, make sure you head over to the official Heirs To The Throne band camp page below to claim your free download of the EP and stay locked for more news on L.Thrones & Tyrant solo material along with more HTTT as the year progresses.
