Earlier in 2014 we reviewed an album by the one and only known as Whirlwind D. One of the B-Line Recordings tribe, Whirlwind impressed us with the complexity and dexterity of the tracks. Back at the Underground HH head quarters this week we received a little treat. Our second exclusive preview of the week is a brand new single 'Time Waits'. Hip hop lends from nearly every genre out there, but none marry with it quite as seamlessly as funk. This track has your head bobbing and toe tapping from the get go. "Time ticks..." begin the rhymes, and sets the concept bare before slapping the ear drums with lyric after lyric empassioned to get the body moving. The beat itself features live guitars and bass, which only adds to the largeness of the track, rolling like a steam roller on fresh tarmac. With cuts by Specifik, this heavy release comes with an added stint of sunshine vibes and enough groove to to fill a wood work shop. The b-side is no exception. Kicking off things on the mic is feature MC Rola, who was obviously very excited to be involved because he nails it! Rhymes stooped in attitude for hip hop culture, handing the baton to Whirlwind to finish the MC duties. As with Whirlwinds previous offering, this release feels like classic hip hop of the past, but yet modern and fresh to boot. With cover artwork by Mr. Tibbz, the vinyl is set to be a must for all good UK hip hop hunters, and the digital drop set to be one of the first to break the 2015 seal.
