Skrabl’s been causing a ruckus since he entered the scene with his debut album 'Board Of The Game' in 2011, two years later he upped the ante with 'Same You, Different Me' in 2013 and he's back this year to put a further mark on the scene with his album 'Life Through Kaleidoscope Eyes' which dropped on the 1st of August featuring a total of 11 tracks. Kicking off with the self titled track L.T.K.E produced by Charles Edison you can expect to get acquainted with Skrabl's rugged rhyme style, strong presence on the track, controlled and hard hitting flows kicking off this EP to a great start. Track 2 is titled Underdog and is one of my favorites from the release, featuring flute melodies and tranquil vibes on the beat - Skrabl attacks it with on point rhymes about constantly being the underdog but trudging on with the daily grind and focusing on the bigger picture! Check it out below.
Skipping a track we land on Acidic Phlegm in which Skrabl showcases his intricate pen game and wordplay absolutely bombarding the beat with his bars. Baton Down the Hatches is the perfect name for this track, as the track goes on the Skrabl's rhymes/wordplay and delivery intensifies - notable after the first hook you'll hear him let rip on Don Pipers boombap beat, yet again another banger! Hundred Hurricanes has been produced by Oozhe and featuring an intro which builds suspension with ease breaking out into greasy vibes, Skrabl laces his rhymes on top creating a short track which oozes rawness and rhymes which paints vivid pictures bar after bar! My only complaint is, that it's not long enough!.
Skipping a few more (Go get your copy below yo!) we land on track number 10 Lose Sight featuring a more laid back and self reflecting beat by Oozhe, Skrabl slows down his flow allowing you to absorb each rhyme, completely compact with frustrations of modern day living and conscious rhymes, a seriously dope track for a lazy wake and bake day. Last up is Oppenheimer easing in with a sample as the beat slowly builds, Skrabl remains on the slow flow vibe as he continues to impress us with his writing ability, yet again gripping the listener in with every word he rhymes while opening your mind to the world we live in.
We've already been gifted with a few dope releases this week available for Free Download and it seems Skrabl’s going to keep this trend going with 'Life Through Kaleidoscope Eyes' - however, that doesn't mean you can't support this head as the release is certainly worth some of your hard earned cash, support his movement and this release!
