Jinz Moss is a completely new name to me, having only discovered his music when his label Fight Music got in touch regarding his latest EP. Jinz Moss used to spit over grime beats and then took the plunge and moved to Australia, along the way he sharpened his hip hop skills and hooked up with 'Poetry Runs Deep' blog and recorded his first mixtape "Memoirs of a Homunculus" which came out in 2013, he began to get regular play at a hip hop showcase called 'One Mic' and many local gigs. He's now signed to Fight Music and decided to move back to the UK (London) to pursue his rap career, since then he's been busy working on Lost & Deported which dropped earlier July.
Lost And Deported EP Kicks off with Jintro, a short skit of Jinz lacing a rhyme here or there until the beat blends-in creating him a platform to showcase his story telling abilities, delivery and wordplay. Jinz opens up the second track 'Notes' with some quick witted wordplay showcasing his versatility on a beat, the levels are upped through out the song oozing conscious and progressive vibes from start to finish! Notes also has an official video for the track so click the play button below and kick your feet back.
Heart Beats will take you through different sets of circumstances revolving around some of lifes issues such as losing a friend/family member from a terminal illness and the never ending rabbit hole of drug addiction. Moonwalking On The Sun features a tranquil beat for Jinz to ignite with his relentless wordplay, metaphors and vivid imagery he paints with his pen. Life Sands continues the epic beat marathon Lost And Deported offers, Jinz goes in on a motivational tip questioning many aspects of being an emcee, being broke and trying to better yourself while remaining true to self.
To Dad is one of the hardest hitting tracks on the EP, you can expect to hear Jinz open up and rap about the loss of his farther and the trials and tribulations it brings, a extremely hard hitting song as Jinz draws you in with his passion, encapsulating rhymes and crystal clear delivery. Human Nature enlightens your inner soul with production out of this world, Jinz sprays it with rhymes about drug addiction and chances of relapse, rappers who rap about rapping and snakey females hiding amongst the grass. As the EP is coming to a close we land on A Girl Named Karma which wraps the EP up flawlessly finishing it off with nothing but intricate rhymes, deep metaphors and Jinz incredible flow & Delivery. The EP ends with an Outro featuring some short rhymes to bring this journey to the end and considering it's only 8 tracks - it's felt like a much longer experience.
