WOAH, let's just jump straight into this review.
The album kicks off with a quick intro titled Dingey Squat in which you'll hear some ruckus before blending into My Demands featuring Cracker Jon lacing 2Late's psychedelic production with rugged rhymes and an insight into Crackers mind and thoughts. No Need showcases Cracker Jons style in its most flawless state, compact with hard hitting lines covering an array of subjects, from wordplay to the drudgery of modern day slavery - straight up boombap rap! What You Prefer's production will have you vibing on different levels, tapping into your consciousness while Cracker Jon sprays bar after bar about his lifestyle and way of living, all delivered with his signature flow. The Funk Off is next up and features an official video (check that below!), 2Late hits us with a beat oozing funky vibes, tackling the beat alongside Cracker you'll find emcees Sly Moon, Dubbul O, Smellington Piff and Eric Da Red getting busy. Check out the video below!
Dank follows suit and also has an official video however this time it's Cracker Jon & 2Late alone, you can probably guess from the name that there's going to be weed references for our riddled brains to light up to.. and that's exactly what you need to do! Cracker Jon goes in as you'd expect him to with this subject matter, the production is hard to explain, but it's DANK! Hit play below.
Obnoxious features Dirty Dike & Lee Scott spitting bars with Cracker and if you haven't gathered from the title they're on an Obnoxious tip, the production is on some next level shit again sending chills with the eerie and out of this world vibes. Skipping a track we land on Got The Style featuring head honcho Fliptrix going back to back with Cracker lacing 2Late's beat with bars oozing realness and wicked wordplay.
All The Places is potentially our favorite track from the album, featuring self reflective vibes on the beat which Cracker buns with rhyme schemes about emcees, life, clichés and disinformation society sticks down our throats.
We've skipped about 9 tracks on the album (and lots of dope features!) to save for your listening pleasure so make sure to head over to High Focusand grab yourself a copy of Cracker Jons & 2Lates latest album 'You Can Take The Cracker Out Of Croydon' dropping on 28th of July, either on CD format or a nang Double Vinyl for all you hardcore heads!
