An underground collective known as 'TPS Fam' have been building bridges for themselves and their record label Revorg Records for the last year and they're excelling at an exceptional pace! Having put out many collaborative projects and solo releases they have regrouped to drop another TPS release featuring 17 tracks titled 'Hot Water Music' named after Charles Bukowski’s short stories and descriptive tales on city life - which is a great indication of what you'll hear on this release.
Hot Water Music kicks off with an introduction skit describing city life blending into 'Monday Blues' produced by Jack Diggs which airs frustrations with the general 9-5 working life and the fuckry which comes with it! They've also dropped an official video for Monday Blues which you can peep below!
Chainbreakers follows on from Monday Blues but this time focuses on what the TPS trio do when they break out of their 9-5 chains and get to enjoy a little bit of freedom! 5 Nuggets kicks off with lucid production laced with bars venting frustrations of living in a place where a pint costs £5! Fellow Revorg Records emcee Efeks also jumps on the track and drops a verse, nang. HD features the TPS fam and emcee Sirplus lighting up the heavy beat with straight up banging bars! To help digest what you've just heard you'll be hit with an instrumental titled 'As It Crossed My Mind' by Jack Diggs, this beat is all about soothing your soul for the next round of lyrical bombardment.
Skipping a couple tracks (Go cop this ish now!) we find ourselves on number 10 titled 'Payday' where the crew describe the immense feeling of having some pennies in your pocket and instantly going out to empty them! I'm sure all of us minimum wage/welfare heads can relate to the subject matter. Hero focuses on the ability to drop all responsibility's in the modern world and get your apathetic head on, without a doubt the best approach to avoid a stressful life, Split Prophets very own Datkid also hits up the beat with yet another dope verse. Broken Smile showcases the crews story telling abilities with this track focusing on the inhabitants of the dark city streets. Out Of This World features Efeks on the hook with pure tranquil production, the rest of TSP Fam laced the beat with reflective bars, great delivery and pen game! Check out the official video for Out Of This World below.
TPS Fam's Hot Water Music is solid album through out packed with great subject matter, flawless production and greasy pen game from start to finish. You can check out the album below but more importantly grab a copy for yourself and support these heads for a mere £5!
