Iron Braydz of London is surely a name to be watching out for in the future, that is if you haven’t already been doing so. His newest album Verbal sWARdz is set to release in the near future and is sure to leave a crater on impact. Verbal sWARdz is a hard hitting, tough album which boasts powerful beats and some of the biggest names in UK and American hip hop scenes such as Sean Price, Kyza, Skriblah and Prince Po dropping bars that will make you feel as though you can take on an army on your own. Each song features a special guest whose names have appeared on many releases throughout the UK and American hip hop scene which will undoubtedly draw eyes and ears upon listening.
The production of this album is definitely a strong point as most of the songs were produced by Braydz himself which is a rare entity in hip-hop today. The beats are loud pungent and force you to bob your head back and forth. Braydz lyrical style is reflection of street violence put in an intelligent manor that can grasp the ears of those who are from the opposite side of the spectrum and have never seen any of the things he speaks of in his music. His words are potent and leave you cringing with the imagery he brings forth. In many respects it has a classic hip hop sound while keeping a completely diverse subject matter.
Verbal sWARdz is the type of album coming from the UK that will surely attract an American audience as well as one in Britain due to the content and the featured guests. The single Dredd which you can find below sheds light on the struggles that take place living in a violent community filled with gun violence and drugs without glorifying the horror. As a whole the album is powerful and produces a feeling of strength in the minds of its listeners. This is not the type of album to play while trying to unwind as everything about it is rowdy rugged and intense.
