Southwest based band known by the name of The Breaks Collective have been working independently to put North Devon firmly on the hip-hop map. Securing gigs for 2013 across the South West and further, including a live session on BBC Devon Introducing and playing at festivals including Relentless Boardmasters. They take inspiration from many genres of music including jazz, hip-hop, funk, soul, rock and R&B knitting them together in a unique way. In 2012 The Breaks' released a series of singles in aid of national charities which gained them a series of successful gigs (including Electric Beach festival supporting De La Soul and The Nextmen). They've also gained local media attention from 247 Magazine, BBC Radio Devon and BBC Spotlight News.
