Shotty Horroh's Biography

Adam Rooney is best known by his alias of Shotty Horroh and he is one of Manchester’s most prolific young artists. Shotty started rapping on the Harpur Hey estate which was where he was raised, he soon began to gain a local reputation for his lyrical wit and machine-gun flow on a beat.

In 2009 Shotty released his first solo mix tape titled 'The Beast', the tape went on to sell over 1,000 units in the street and also through Independent record stores.Due to the support of the local community a local record label known as Brute Force Records signed him early 2010. Thanks to the backing of the label and Shottys uniqueness we began to see yet another boost to Shotty's reputation.

Shotty soon found himself working with international hip hop legends such as M.O.P, Joell Ortiz, Grafh, Small World and Crooked I. Shotty began to go viral and a buzz was beginning to form, Shotty then went on to work with New York rapper 'Squala Orphan' on a 'Manchester 2 New York' project. The release went on to sell over 2,000 units from sales generated by Squala In Time Square and The Brute Force Street team in Manchester.

This pushed Shottys music and fan-base even further, by the end of 2011 Shotty had worked with even more rappers/producers such as Royce Da 5'9, Corey Gunz, Alchemist, The Heatmakerz and more. His live performance game has been upped too, finding himself performing to sell-out crowds with Royce Da 5'9 and Ghostface Killah.
