Phi Life Cypher are a hip hop group based in Luton, the group has a total of two MC's who go by the names of Si Phili and Life MC and also in the group is DJ Nappa. The Group has been making music together since 1996 and since then have acquired a reputation in the Underground scene. The group has released many hip hop classics, such as their ABC song in which the two MC's bounce off each other and rap using words which start with letters in the alphabet creating a raw lyrical underground track. Phi Life Cyper also featured on an earlier version of the Gorillaz song 'Clint Eastwood' unfortunetly Damon Albarn and Dan The Automator decided that Del Tha Funky Homosapien would feature on the track instead. However the version by Phi Life Cyper was offically released on 'G-Sides' which is a compilation of the B-sides. They also performed the track live with the Gorillaz at the Brit Awards. They have also collaborated with the Gorillaz another time on 'The Sounder' and an unreleased version of 'Starshine', this resulting in touring with The Gorillaz and DJ Vadim.
