Defenders of Style are a hip hop collective based in Leeds, they are 10 years strong in their practice and have played alongside artists such as Masta Ace, Edo G., MF Doom, Jeru the Damaja, Immortal Technique and Souls of Mischief.

Defenders have been recognized for their distinctive sound and respected for their consistency in development. Having played a large number of major towns and cities in the UK, their on point lyrical content, flow and energetic live performance delivery has attracted a good following in the underground scene and is leading to more interest further afield.

For a number of years now, Defenders have put in the ground work at ciphers, battles, parties, clubs, festivals, radio shows and studios – reaching people online as far out as Australia and as well known as Beyonce. They have been reviewed in mainstream music magazines next to the likes of DJ Premier with the same rating and have even appeared on Croatian television.
