Braintax is a hip hop artist and producer called Joe Christie, his alias Braintax he explained means 'We can all get busy if we use our Brains'. Braintax has also gone by other pseudonyms i.e Brando Flux and Joey Brains, all of his releases were on his own record label, Low Life Records which brought about many other UK hip hop legends.
Originally Braintax was a duo, it was of course himself and DJ T.E.S.T (Aaron Harrow) however he departed after the release of the 'Future Years' EP, since then Braintax has become one of the biggest solo artists in the underground. Braintax hits on many subjects in his music such as Spirituality, healthy eating, hip hop music, environmentalism and politics.
Braintax unfortunately announced his retirement when he released the album titled "My Last And Best Album", along with this was also the closure of Low Life Records.
